International Passenger Arrivals Increase in Feb.

International passenger arrivals to Bangkok Airport increase by 25% in February and International arrivals to Phuket increase by 71%

The total number of disembarking international passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport in February 2010 was 1,397,638 compared to 1,120,310 in February 2009 a 25% increase.

The number of total number of disembarking domestic passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport was 491,437 compared to 337,661 in February 2009 a 46% increase.  This is partly explained by the relocation of flights from Don Muang where there were 107,310 disembarking domestic passengers in February 2010 compared to 163,657 in February 2009 but the total number of disembarking domestic passengers at both Bangkok’s airports increased by 19% year on year.

The total number of disembarking international passengers at Phuket Airport in February 2010 was 184,996 compared to 108,132 in February 2009 a 71% increase.

The total number of disembarking domestic passengers at Phuket Airport was 183,916 in February 2010 compared to 137,279 in February 2009 a 33% increase year on year.
